EUR/USD - Weekly and Monthly Pivot Points and Signals- For 01 - 05 October, 2012

For this week the pivot points (weekly and monthly) for EUR/USD are: 1.2891 weekly; 1.2843 monthly.
The euro is located above the weekly pivot point and above the Moving Average of 200 periods.
Accordingly, the pivot points signify the following.
The euro is trading above the weekly pivot close to this level and is likely to continue an upward movement. The trend can become extremely bullish if it goes above 200 day moving average period. In short-term, the euro will remain uptrend, a fall below 1.28 could change the trend.

  Signal for 01 - 05 October, 2012

Buy long if close above EMA 200 at 1.2800, take profit at 1.3051 and 1.3115, stop-loss is below weekly support of 1.2750 (W_S2).

Buy above pivot point of 1.2891, with take profit at 1.3051 and 1.3115, stop-loss bellow 1,2750(W_S2).

AUD/USD - Weekly and Monthly Pivot Points and Signals- For 01 - 05 October, 2012

For this week the pivot points (weekly and monthly) for AUD/USD are: 1.0393 weekly; 1.0389 monthly.
The Australian dollar is close above the weekly pivot and above the Moving Average of 200 periods (blue). Therefore, the pivot points show the following.
The weekly pivot level of 1.0393 serves as resistance, a close above this level can change the downtrend with targets set for the second resistance of 1.0538(W_R2).
On the other hand, the downward pressure will continue to increase below the weekly pivot which aims to the third weekly support around 1.0168 (W_S3).

Signal for 01 - 05 October, 2012

Buy long if rebound  around weekly support at 1.0313 with take profit at 1.0458 and 1.0538, stop-loss is bellow W_S2.

Buy if close above 1.0400, with take profit at 1,0438 and 1.0603, stop-loss is bellow W_S2

GBP/USD - Weekly and Monthly Pivot Points and Signals- For 01 - 05 October, 2012

The Pivot Point (PPV) is used as support and resistance at the same time; it is the first level that we observe. For this week the pivot points (weekly and monthly) for GBP/USD are: 1.6184 weekly; 1.6100 monthly.
The British pound is located bellow the pivot weekly and above the Moving Average of 200 periods (blue). Therefore, the pivot points indicate the following.
It is probable that the pair will continue its downward move until the second weekly support of 1.6025; the indicators show overbought position and bullish force depletion. Therefore, it is likely that the pair will return to 1.6095 and 1.6025 support levels. In this case we recommend selling bellow weekly pivot point or buy if close above the pivot point.

Signal for 01- 05 october, 2012

Sell short  bellow 1.6184, take profit at 1.6025, stop-loss is above (W_PV).

Buy long if rebound is around 1.6025, take profit at 1.6343, stop-loss is bellow (W_S3).

Buy if close above 1.6190, take profit at 1.6343, stop-loss is 1.6095.(W_S1)

For this week the pivot points (weekly and monthly) for USD/JPY are: 77.85 weekly; 78.09 monthly.
The Japanese yen is located above the weekly pivot and bellow the Moving Average of 200 periods (blue). Therefore, taking into account the pivot points, we can conclude the following.
The level of 77.85 (pivot) is the weekly pivot, a higher level increases the likelihood of an upward trend. Therefore, recommend buying above 77.85, until the second week resistance.

Buy long at 77.85, take profit at  78.61 and 79.03, stop loss is bellow W_S1.

Expectations about the speech Ben Bernanke - Fundamental Analysis for October 01/ 2012

The dollar fell slightly against major currencies on the first day of the month. Positive news from Spain led to the euro increase which, however, does not seem to have secured up to the next few hours.
During this period key data does not affect market much. But stress tests from Spain and other statistics seems to be more relevant. The most important news, like GDP, inflation, and unemployment are blurred to speeches, mostly empty of content noteworthy. European politicians fail to find even a single life output, albeit wrong.
The pace of the Forex market takes, therefore, the euro to the first place, closely followed by the pound, which has failed to recover positions in the European session after a weak UK manufacturing PMI.
The other currencies remain bearish bias against the dollar in the medium-term, though, as the single currency, fail to take air in the hours before the beginning of the U.S. session.
The Dow Jones index futures are positioned for it with uptrend, the key data expected today is the manufacturing ISM, which will be announced at 10:00 ET.
Also we are waiting for the presentation of the Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke in Indiana, which will start at12:30. He is supposed to give a speech on monetary policy.
