Did you ever pay $30 for candy bar? Or maybe $300? Or maybe even $35,000? Many people, like myself, have made lots of money by finding error coins and die varieties in pocket change or in a coin dealer's inventory. There are many stories of people finding valuable coins in unexpected places. I suppose some of them are like "fish stories" that get exaggerated over time.
