Moscot founder Hyman Moscot emigrated from Eastern Europe to Ellis Island in 1899 and began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Manhattan’s Lower Eastside. By 1915, he opened up the premiere location of his family-owned retail shop at 94 Rivingtom St. With three retail locations in New York, Moscot is now recognized as a global fashion brand, but remains, at heart, a neighborhood optical shop. All of Moscot's collections maintain a distinct aesthetic of that turn-of-the-century classic NYC style.  LIFELONG AIDS ALLIANCE: Lifelong was formed in 2001 through the merger of Chicken Soup Brigade and Northwest AIDS Foundation. From their beginnings in 1983, Lifelong has remained a leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS and continues to be a champion of healthy lives for all by helping people with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS access heath insurance, housing, food and counseling.
