At a time of year when many of us would trade our mothers for a temperature above freezing, Mikal Cronin's "e;Shout It Out"e; is an instant blast of summer, like drinking an ice cold beer at a bonfire or tossing a frisbee around in the sunlight. The first track released from his upcoming  album MCII opens with an clean, easy-going guitar melody that could stand proudly with the sticky-sweet leads of Real Estate or Beach Fossils. But Cronin understands the value of a little dirt, as he happily kicks down the door to the chorus with a massive distorted riff and an all-out percussive assault.
