Boldy James: "Come Here" [ft. Peechie Green]

Don't let Boldy James' recent embrace of that Future-tinged autotune distract you. He's still selling detail-heavy street tales with the same savvy as always. On "e;Come Here"e;, a should-be standard ode to the good life, James imparts a surprising amount of specificity for a radio-friendly song. Bragging about a surplus of product is nothing new, but requiring a second house for storage and processing is an outlandish, head-turning claim. The beat here isn't quite as novel but it's a capable Mike Will Made It soundalike, bombastic and melodic. Collaborator Peechie Green makes the most of it, combining T.I.'s rounded Atlanta accent with a bit of Rozay gruffness, a distillation of two of rap's most reliable hitmakers which helps bring energy to a cut that's clearly meant to spark some excitement.
