Props to Rob Da Bank for signing up Elton John as one of the headliners for Bestival this year. The 65-year-old hasn't played UK festivals for a while and his chosen place of return makes complete sense. Fancy dress! Elton John, King of both tunes and the putdown, is, of course, the master of dressing up. As the slot was announced John reminisced about the past:

At various times I wore enormous feathered head-dressed, cloaks, hot pants, jumpsuits, clown suits, a Minnie Mouse outfit, French maid, the Eiffel Tower and the Statue Of Liberty. Wearing fancy dress makes us all feel less inhibited so I think it's a great way to enjoy live music
