In other filings with the FCC, CHURCH PLANTERS OF AMERICA has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WWFJ/EAST FAYETTEVILLE, NC while it is "e;working both financially and technically towards getting WWFJ on air at the new location."e;

CULTURAL ENERGY has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KECI/RED RIVER, NM because its construction at its new site has been delayed due to snow.

LANCHESTER RADIO INFORMATION, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for low power FM WLRI-LP/GAP, PA for transmitter repair.

HAROLD CAMPING's FAMILY STATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial Religion WFTI-F/ST. PETERSBURG, FL to RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. for $2.5 million.  The station has flipped to Contemporary Christian as JOY FM.

DAVID M. BAUGHN has closed on the sale of his 500 shares of JRD, INC., licensee of Oldies WJRD-A and W271AM/TUSCALOOSA, to partner RONALD B. PRICE for $130,000, including paying off a note from the seller to the purchaser of $70,000 (remaining balance $36,691.67).

And EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has closed on the sale of FM translator W251BC/SIDNEY, OH to MUZZY BROADCASTING, LLC for $42,500.

Also, in a deal yet to be filed with the FCC, the STEPHENVILLE EMPIRE-TRIBUNE reports that JODY and SARA CAUDLE are leasing Silent KLQM/RANGER, TX from MANDATORY BROADCASTING and K300BD/STEPHENVILLE, TX from ROBERT SPEARMAN and will launch a Country format as "e;KWBY, COWBOY RADIO FOR THE COWBOY CAPITAL"e; on MARCH 1st.

The CRTC has approved NOSTALGIA BROADCASTING COOPERATIVE INC.'s application for a new community FM in WINNIPEG.  The new station will use 93.7 FM with 460 watts at 111.6 meters above average terrain.

The Commission also approved WAY OF LIFE BROADCASTING's shut-down of low power Religion CJIV/DRYDEN, ON on AUGUST 31, 2013.  The licensee said "e;it does not have the listenership to justify operating the station."e;  The 50-watt station has been on the air in the town in northwestern ONTARIO since 2003.

NATIVE COMMUNICATION INC's application to reduce its Canadian content requirements in Content Category 2 (popular music) on Top 40/Rhythmic CIUR (STREETZ 104.7)/WINNIPEG has been denied.  The station complained that there are not enough Canadian cuts in the Urban format to avoid listeners getting tired of the songs, but the Commission said that "e;it is inappropriate to reduce this important commitment, especially given that the station is still in its first term of license."e;

The CBC has received approval to make a slight change to the technical parameters of CBC RADIO ONE affiliate CBOB-F (rebroadcaster of CBO-F/OTTAWA)/BROCKVILLE, ON, decreasing maximum ERP to 1,571 watts and increasing to 151.0 meters above average terrain due to use of a different antenna.

And CANADIAN HELLENIC CABLE RADIO LTD. won approval to increase the power of Ethnic CKIN/MONTREAL to 1,200 watts directional.

ABACAST has rolled out its patent pending cloud-based ad insertion system, enabling advertisers and broadcasters to serve individualized targeted ads to listening audiences no matter what player or device audiences are using.

With cloud-based ad insertion, each listener can receive individualized in-stream audio ads.
