YOUTUBE Expectations from the Union Budget 2013-2014
2013-02-18 14:41:00 (читать в оригинале)With the announcement of the budget 2013 just round the corner on February 28, to be precise, all eyes are set on it. With the exports dropping down in levels, current account deficits rising up, GDP growth going astray and even the exports are adding to the already worse conditions; expectations from the budget all the more increases.
The much needed budget is anticipated to restore the Indian economy statistics.
In order to truncate the growing fiscal deficit the Indian government has taken a few stringent steps from hike in diesel and LPG prices to the hike in the railway fares. So to maintain a balance, the budget must be able to keep a check on the deficit, cutting down the expenditures and at the same time be a household friendly budget too. Possibly the expectations are in contrast to each other, but for the Finance Minister it doesn’t seem to be such a tough job being assured to have a growth oriented budget which would aim at balancing all the sectors of economy.
So before the actual budget is announced here are the few expected highlights of the Union Budget 2013-2014:
- Reducing Fiscal DeficitWith Mr. Chidambaram as our Finance Minister maintaining his true reputation of a reformist has till now benefited the country by recovering the investor sentiment. In future too we are hopeful of having a budget which would reduce the extravagant expenses and enhance the investments. This may result in the increasing excise duty and broadening of tax base. According to the speech of FM, the target of the deficit ratio would be 4.8 % to 5.3 % this year.
- Development ExpenditureExpenditure would include not only in land and agriculture development but also in the sectors like education, family planning etc.
- Investment in InfrastructureIn order to revive the infrastructural investments, the budget is most likely to focus on the investment I the areas like power, roads, etc. this must be implemented to recover the declining statistics.
- Relief to Household SectorWith ever increasing prices of commodities and petrol and diesel as well, the financial savings of the household sector substantially declined from 9.3% to 7.3%.Providing extra tax incentives for long term deposits or life insurance to attract individuals could help.
This and yes a much should be done in order to bring our economy to the level it should have been by now. Our very own Finance Minister has a great challenge ahead. And we as the citizens expect a very responsible and supportive budget in return. If done the right way it can for sure bring prosperity to our country.
Hopefully Mr. Chidambaram doesn’t fall short of our expectations.

YOUTUBE Bangles – back in VOGUE!!
2013-02-18 14:40:00 (читать в оригинале)Bangles are an indispensable part of a girl’s wardrobe. And if you happen to be someone like me, who has different set of bangles and bracelets with all her dresses, then well you will understand
Somehow bangles are back in vogue like never before! And what coerced me into writing this entire researched piece on bangles is Kareena Kapoor and her fascination with bangles
During Bodyguard Movie promotions, Kareena was seen sporting different kind of bangles with her Kurtis, Patialas and Suits! And to be honest it looked simply fab!
No matter what you wear…..Be it ethnic wears like a Patiala with Kurti or a Bandhni or Harems or Jodhpuri pants or even if you are a complete western strictly ‘Tee and Jeans’ girl, Bangles are for everyone! If you can mix and match well, an array of bangles can enhance your look like nothing else!
Bangles are best of all the accessories, provided you get it right! How to?? Read ON!
Classic pieces that will always be in vogue can become boring if one wears those again and again. So, a little mixture is always better. Experiment with pearls, metals, layers, crystals, even glass (this is strictly for those who can carry it off well ) different shapes- or a combination of these to get that perfect styling of bangles. Huge, colourful and bold pieces that stand out are in fashion! Oversize bracelets, large wooden block pieces, jangle of a bunch of bangles – all these are in FASHION!
Wooden & Metal Bangles
No I am not talking about those old traditional gold metal bangles here
The trend today is rather new and quite classy! Try out lightweight, large in size bangles that are available in range of colours. One colour over-sized irregularly cut bangles give you a fuller look if that is what you are looking for.
If not try out array of wooden bangles together, as much as they go with checked shirts and Denims, they look equally good with a Kurti and Churidar!
Must have in your wardrobe: Over-sized Black wooden bangle…..it goes with almost everything!
These are as hot as ever!
‘Compact ones’ say a dozen of them packed together look simply vow!! Again this is something you need to carry off well..If you want something toner, go for the same color bunch or else multi-colors look classy! Mind you at times to wear layered bangles, you’ll have to choose your clothes instead of choosing bangles for the outfit They look really good with Kurtis teamed with Churidar and Patialas and even Harems!
Must have in your wardrobe: Dozen of multi-colored bangles…..they are for all seasons!
Not fond of Indian attire..used to Jeans and Tee-Shirts??
Bracelets complementing western look! Either wear a single bracelet with jeans and tee or even a couple of them say wooden or metal ones look quite good! The more bracelets you have on your wrist the more fashionable they will look. Plenty of thin and not very thin bangles look nice together. Square bangles are definitely a new trend that will come up in a big way very soon. They look trendy, cool and attractive at the same go!
Must have in your wardrobe : Wooden Block single pieces and crystal bracelets!
Silver Bangles
This is my personal favorite (I recently picked up 8 dozen of them together )
Not a big fan of Gold..?? It’s absolutely fine Silver is back in fashion big time!
Sterling silver bangles look exceptionally well with bright colored Kurtis. Wear one piece if you want to keep it light but a dozen together equally looks good if not better! Oxidized Black Silver Bangles are quite the in thing today. Mix and match with thread bangles according to the colors that suit you!
Half a dozen plain oxidized silver bangles coupled with thread bangles are the near perfect match! Thread bangles and silver bangles together will rarely go wrong!
Must have in your wardrobe: Black oxidized silver bangles!
Glass Bangles
Okay this one is not everyone’s cup of tea
And not everyone is fond of it too! But glass bangles look vow if you are dressing up in complete Indian wear.
They have a certain ethnic look that nothing can match up to! A plain Kurti teamed with dozen of glass bangles on your wrist (the same color as your dupatta) is just the perfect combo!
Must have in your wardrobe : Dozen of red glass bangles..they are ethnic, traditional and classy at the same time!
Thread Bangles will never go wrong with Indian wear…..NEVER (trust me )
Mix and match the colors..a dozen same as the color of your Kurti with two three in between that match the color of your Patiala or churidar! Red, Yellow, Green, Blue are the most common colors. And ya thread bangles complement crape Dupattas and Bandhni like nothing else!
Go for Multi-colored thread bangles with printed Kurtis and Patialas (as shown in the pic on your right)!
Must have in your wardrobe : Dozen of thread bangles each set of different colors!
So make way for sexy, dainty, daring, elegant, trendy and classy Bangles and Bracelets to style up your wrists!

YOUTUBE Carpe diem! – Options for Science and Commerce students after class 12th
2013-02-18 14:40:00 (читать в оригинале)The School is over. Where shall I take admission? Which college is better? What should I prefer- College or Course? How is the placement of this college? Oh! I didn’t get admission. What the Hell?? Sometimes, this question mark never ends. Every student must have come across such questions for proper guidance. Well, I would suggest only one line. “You are the only programmer of your life, No one can suggest you best than your own mind…”
Although, everyone should take guidance, invite ideas, bring out surveys but to use them wisely is what depends on You! Admission time is approaching again and I can strictly relate the feelings of my time. There were thousands of colleges, Hundreds of admission forms and one “Mind” to work on all! Make the best out of it. Unfortunately, if you unable to fetch seat in your dream college then it doesn’t mean that the doors are closed. Every Exit is an Entry somewhere. I would like to bring in light some of the Open doors but implement these guidelines only when you are totally satisfied.
Thoroughly satisfied indeed!
Door One: Options available for science students who did not get good IITJEE or AIEEE rank
Indian Institute of Technology is not “Everything”. There is more to life than IIT and NITs. If you have appeared in JEE and didn’t make it inside then simply opt another college and continue your graduation (“Suicide” is so yesterday guys. How about working harder this time??). Opportunities will never end. Believe in yourself! Well, if IIT is what you see in dreams and you didn’t score well then taking a year drop would be a good option for you. But being an experienced, I must mention that dropping a year off never gives guarantee for your admission in IIT next year. You have to make your days and night worth working harder consistently. You can also take admission in Bachelor of Science that is provided by many prestigious names like Delhi University, Mumbai University, Indian Statistical Institute, etc… and carry on with your preparation of IIT. If you get into IIT next year then well and good (Congrats!!) but if you don’t, then carry on with your B.Sc. There is no going back. Everything depends on what you can grind in four years of engineering. I have seen a NON-IITian working with 24 lakhs per annum and an IITian too who didn’t get campus placement. It’s all about you!
Door 2: Options available for Commerce students
(a) With 90% + marks
All the doors are open for You! Two most high-flying colleges for commerce stream are St. Stephen and Sri Ram college of Commerce (SRCC). SRCC is presently in discussions for its last year 100% cutoff. There is a diverse collection of best faculty in both of these colleges. You can also take admission in Lady Sri Ram College, Hansraj, Hindu and Jesus and Marry College in commerce stream. They are some of the top brand college in India. Don’t miss the admission forms of St. Stephen College. They
have different rules for admission. The forms will be out near 24-25 May this year.
(b) with 80% -90% marks
Apart from Delhi University, St. Xavier College Mumbai is also one of the prestigious colleges for commerce with relatively lower cut-offs. Presidency College (Chennai), St. Xavier Kolkata, and Loyola College Chennai holds high-quality position in the list of prominent colleges of Commerce in India. Admission rules for Delhi University Bachelor Programmes are again subjected to change this year. Keep browsing this website for updated information. Again if you unable to score higher marks in Class Twelfth then there is no need to be Sad and Gloomy. Life doesn’t end here. Delhi University provides open learning for students with lower marks through School of Open Learning. Lower marks are not your defeat. It’s an opportunity to outshine the toppers!
Door 3- Options for Science students who wish to go for higher studies
India didn’t support and encourage students for higher studies comparatively to foreign countries. India has the best minds. India has the best faculty but India does not have the best education system to work properly. Still, we are best than many and behind than numerous.
Some of the leading colleges for higher studies in mathematics are:-
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (It admits student on the basis of a written test followed by interview in dual degree program for higher studies)
Institute of Mathematical Science (It admits student through NBHM exam)
Harish Chandra Research Institute and IITs are mandatory to include in this list for obvious reasons. There are many places to mention here like National Institute of Science and Education Research. List is long and never lasting. All you have to do is to choose a best place for yourself. No matter your marks are lower and no matter you didn’t make it to IIT, You are what no one else can ever be! Keep working harder on yourself and keep struggling because someone has rightly said that integration of “struggle.dt” from birth to death as limits equals to life.
Best of Luck.

YOUTUBE Issues and challenges of Indian Education
2013-02-18 14:40:00 (читать в оригинале)Knowledge is the food for man because in absence of knowledge man cannot grow his food.
Education is the pond of knowledge
Today, every country of the world is trying to be developed in every possible way. Every country whether it is a developed or developing, they both want to progress in a scientific way. They want to reach on the top of developments. But all countries know it better that whether the problem of poverty, or corruption cannot be removing the problem of illiteracy.
All our leaders and educators are trying to get over this problem but, find themselves unable to do so. And this all is happening due to our sick and insufficient education policies.
And when our policies fail, we curse to others like population is washing our efforts and corruption has eaten up our system etc…
In this context when we talk about education and its contemporary issues. We should first discuss that what challenges and issues do we have in contemporary world and before this we should discuss that what are the aim and objectives of our education and then we should search the reason of it. The first aim of our education was all round development of a child , but it is quite apparent that all round development is like a day dream because the current system is not developing even a single ability in the child.
Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi once said, “By education I mean all round drawing out of the best in child and man body, mind and spirit.”
Our national poet, great philosopher and follower of naturalistic approach of education somewhere wrote that, the highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.”
Here, a question rises do we follow the thoughts of our great educationist and leaders?
Today, when do we discuss about, the harmony of education with peace?
The main issues and challenges of contemporary Indian education are as follow. The fore most issue is the unsatisfaction of youth. Teachers are unable to satisfy the youth by their knowledge and methods of teaching their knowledge level and education system is not providing the satisfaction and due to this the youth stands against the teachers and system.
The second reason is discipline in schools and colleges. This reason is given of our so called leaders and social contractors. Who instigates the youth time to time for their own benefits.
Third can be the problem of unemployment. Some of our educators think that now this problem is an issue for education system but when a youth looks his or her brother or sister unemployed even after getting bachelor or post graduate degree , they are unemployed, this give the birth to a revolt.
As above we discuss a fact comes out which is our next issue. That is education is but not for knowledge our education guides students to get good marks not to get knowledge our teachers emphasis on the marks or how they will complete their syllabus not on providing new knowledge to students. Next should come the policy of state and central government about the education. Education is a subject on which state band central government both can make rules and regulation, in some matters state government says that it is the work of central government and central government says it is the work of state government and between these two authorities our education suffers. If we talk about the mass there is great unawareness about the education if some child emphasis on going to school and there are many unemployed person or a person who could not get any government job who say “hum ne teer mar liye jo tu marle ga.” These types of people should know that education is a way to get a job. But education is for knowledge and that should be our target.
Poverty can be next issue or a challenge to which our education system is facing. Nowadays the cost of getting education is very high so poor of our society find themselves lost in getting education.
Political unwillingness is also a great challenge for our education system. Politicians think that they got five years to fulfill their wishes. Matters of education are just kept in pending.
Casteism creates a wall between lower class and upper class. Once I was in another college there I saw a teacher taking fee from the students (you will say what is surprising in this in most of the schools teacher takes fee from the students). But when a student came to give fee, the teacher asked to put the amount on the table. That boy put the amount on the table and went. When I asked about the matter, the teacher replied I was busy in some other work so I could not take the amount in hand. But reality was different, that boy belonged to SC category and that was untouchable for the teacher… This happens in our schools and in colleges.
Dearness is another challenge for the education system. Fee of colleges and schools is rising day by day with public schools raising their fee structure in every session but the wages of laborer is not increasing at the same speed. So poor people find themselves unable in admitting their children in those schools. And government schools do not compete with the public schools or CBSE schools.
The next challenge is our corruption which has become the right of all government officers and whole system. In many schools it is found that the fund which was sending to the school disappeared on the way.
A story is enough to describe facts. Once a school principal demanded for funds for digging a well for students. Government accepted the grant for above. But the amount that reached the principal was less than what was given by government (eaten up mid way!). So he too ate up rest of the amount and took the transfer form that place. When the next principal came there he found that no well was dug in the school. He wrote an application to higher authorities that well is not providing the water and it needs money. You can easily understand the rest of the story. This is the problem; you will find this type of stories around yourself.
I don’t want to say much about this.
Privatization of education is great issue. Some learned people say that government officials take higher salaries but not work according to that. But in private institutes teachers remains in very critical conditions which is not good for the education system.
Next issue can be the issue of unawareness of teachers about the methods and techniques of teaching. Even they are not interested in these. Teaching is the profession in which a teacher needs to polish his /her knowledge day by day. And because it is the profession daily updating of methods and techniques is compulsory. I think this is the demand of the profession but our teachers are so rigid that they don’t want to change themselves.
Next can be according to me, the issue of character of teachers. Our teacher’s character is going downwards. A teacher is the only person who can change the direction of the society. He is the person who is the center point of any education system. This influences much our society than any other part of the society. This effects much our education than all the above points. But nowadays news in different form can be read in newspapers that a teacher kidnapped his /her students or a teacher raped his student. And due to this many students left their schooling on the mid way.
All these issues and challenges did not rise in a day they took a long period. If we look back in time, ancient time India was on the top in education and knowledge. This was the country in which students used to come from all over the world to acquire the knowledge and education. No country of the world was even near to it. Then what happened to our great country?
The story starts form the invaders first Muslim invaders who came to the country to loot it and tried to destroy the culture and knowledge of the country. After them came the British invaders. They left our country in the condition of a beggar gave us many things like poverty, corruption, injustice, unemployment and many other problems which are now standing up as a challenge for our education system.
And, now as we see in the society that the level of our social, moral, culture values and ideals are going downwards towards hell. We are acquiring western culture and social values which are totally different from ours. We believe in spiritual education and they believe in physical or worldly education. Then how can we develop our current education system because it provides us only the mob of unemployed youth??
Students do not want to go to study…. they try to get good marks by unfair means and teachers do not want to teach …..and they pay their total attention to coaching classes.
Private college owners sell the degrees and marks on high rates or bids. This happened due to the mentality of college owners because most of the college owners came in this field belong to the business families or people who had some useless land and little money to invest, they came in this sector due to high profit and not to serve the society, which is natural. Then how we can think that those people will serve the country and society, because such people think treats with school as a factory, principals/HOD as a managers and teachers as workers.
But at last I shall bind up with these lines that people who are in this field or who are the part of this holy course should think that this occupation is like that doctor’s job who gives light to the blind and this job is the part of that holy job of God because God made man but we make them civilized.
“So we should not cheat our duty because we do not cheat anyone we cheat ourselves.”
