Top European doctoral candidates and business leaders meet at LERU’s Summer School in Paris

Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) is hosting this year’s League of European Research Universities (LERU) Summer School the 8 to 12 July, 2013 on the historic Cordeliers campus in the center of Paris. Forty-five of the top doctoral students were selected from close to 100 nominations from League’s 21 leading research-intensive universities—including Cambridge, Oxford and UPMC— to participate in this brainstorming workshop with CEOs from McKinsey, Lafarge, L'Oreal, Renault, and others.

UB signs the agreement to drive the Industrial Doctorates Plan

On Wednesday 19 June, a collaboration agreement was signed among the Government of Catalonia, through the Secretary for Universities and Research, Catalan universities, Foment del Treball, PIMEC, FEPIME and the General Council of Chambers of Commerce of Catalonia in order to promote the Industrial Doctorates Plan. Rector Dídac Ramírez signed the agreement representing the UB.
