No blanket late fee for expats without ID cards

Although ID cards will be compulsory for expatriates across the country to renew their residence visa from January 1 next year (2012), no late fee will be applicable in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai in the beginning, a top official clarified yesterday.

Sharjah Parking fees in Al Majaz and in a number of business areas in Sharjah have been increased by 100 per cent since the beginning of this week and Sharjah Municipality said fees in all designated parking areas will become Dh2 per hour by the end of this year.
