take our breakfast, take our blankets and we’ll go

for the sixth there is no bottled water, only motor oil, gasoline and car glass cleaner
for the seventh is no bottled water, only an LCD-display on the iPad
they can't go with us, they’re called driver and navigator
if they should see us, they’ll take us into the car, if not - they speed past

for the eighth water fills the ear, blouds the legs, swalls the eyes
those people are sick, when we alive & kicking let’s wish them recovery

for the ninth there is water from the spring, from the rain, in the palms
water even in the fast mountain-rivers at the stones of the desert
even in a-class business-centres, with framed metal detectors at the entrance
their water is in the sink, in the cooler & soda-water for free just for them
and wine, and gasoline, and flame are turned into water for them

we are the tenth, those who volunteer, neither these ones, nor those ones, and not outliers
we are extras, all of us always are systematically undescribed
we are very simple, we are half empty
we are half full of meanings, anyway we are poets

   На мой день рождения (в августе) пароход был в море. И камбузный департамент порадовал меня и весь экипаж тортом «Наполеон», который и запечатлён на фотографии.


My birthday (in the August) ship was at sea and Cuttering Department presented to me and to all crew the “Napoleon” cake which you can see on this photo.

Надо сказать, что Chief Cook Иван вообще нас балует. Частенько выпекает всяческие печенья, крендельки. Или вот, например, кексики к чаю.


It’s necessary to say, that Chief Cook Ivan is very nice to crew and often gives a treat, for example, bakes cakes for tea-brakes.

   И ещё весёлая история на кулинарную тему. Буфетчик Март (естественно, я зову его «Апрель») заметил, что я не ем фрукты, которые у нас выставляют к обеду и ужину. На его вопрос о причине я ответил, что фрукты я не ем, а только могу ими закусывать. Тогда он по доброте душевной стал давить для меня сок из апельсинов и по утрам приносить в каюту. Народ заметил, что количество апельсинов во фруктовом рационе резко сократилось. Но я скромно промолчал о причине…
