Back in February eBay banned the sale of all coin replicas and copies. eBay worked with The PNG (Professional Numismatists Guild), a nonprofit organization comprised of the country's top rare coin dealers, to further refine its standards to "ensure that all coin collectors have confidence in their eBay experience." This included the stipulation that coins listing a numerical grade (for example, VF-20, AU-55, MS-66, etc.) must be certified by a third party grading service that meets certain criteria.
