Переиздание саундтрека к фильму Thief. Оригинал я припоминаю
как довольно унылую переделку Force Majeure,
не лучшего их альбома, причем самых раздражающих
мест оттуда ("Thru Metamorphic Rocks" и типа).
Новое издание (2004-го года) содержит
альтернативные версии со звуком, не очень отличимым
от пинк-флойдовского телекастера, никакого
Force Majeure и в помине. То есть если вам
очень хочется услышать абстрактное
гилморовское соло на 40 минут, вам туда.
Для Tangerine Dream 1980-го года эта штука крайне
нетипичная, но и неизданная до 2004-го.
Я даже какое-то время обдумывал, не перезаписали
ли ее перед переизданием, и решил, что скорее
всего нет: звук не похож на 1980-й, но на
2004-й он не похож гораздо сильнее.
Похожая штука случилась с их же альбомом Green Desert,

который продавался как запись 1973-го года, но звучал
как середина 1980-х; в соответствующей статье в Википедии
сообщается, что его действительно перезаписали или
перемикшировали в 1980-х, так что ничего удивительного.
Альбом, впрочем, вполне кошерный, сильно лучше того, что
они сочиняли в середине 1980-х.
