THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE INTEND TO DO ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22ND...
Join us for this special trunk show event on Thursday, October 22nd from 3-6pm to see the complete collection of MOSCOT EYEWEAR and to benefit LIFELONG AIDS ALLIANCE: for every pair of Moscot frames purchased, EYES ON FREMONT will donate $100 to this prominent NW-based charity.

Moscot founder Hyman Moscot emigrated from Eastern Europe to Ellis Island in 1899 and began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Manhattan’s Lower Eastside. By 1915, he opened up the premiere location of his family-owned retail shop at 94 Rivingtom St. With three retail locations in New York, Moscot is now recognized as a global fashion brand, but remains, at heart, a neighborhood optical shop. All of Moscot's collections maintain a distinct aesthetic of that turn-of-the-century classic NYC style.
Lifelong was formed in 2001 through the merger of Chicken Soup Brigade and Northwest AIDS Foundation. From their beginnings in 1983, Lifelong has remained a leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS and continues to be a champion of healthy lives for all by helping people with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS access heath insurance, housing, food and counseling.

Well, it feels like a grand way to initiate & invite some new things into our lives.
In EYES ON FREMONT'S world, one of many new things we are excited about are the arrival of new fall frames! Every year this time, we hit Silmo Paris and hand-pick new styles and collections from all of our fave independent eyewear designers, so STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES!
For now, we are loving the new colors and models from our favorite NW collection, 141 Eyewear.

How Long with Eyes on Fremont:
David has been leading the EOF team since October 2010!
His key Position:
General manager & overseer of daily activities around the Shop, David's like the head coach of the team. David's the man who keeps operations smooth & calls the shots, as needed. The guy who takes one for the team when the going gets tough customer service-wise.
The highlights & scores of David's Time off the Clock:
If it hasn't been made abundantly clear yet, our beloved manager is a huge football enthusiast & supporter of our Seattle team, THE SEAHAWKS. So begins a busy season for him- Sunday afternoon trips to Safeco Field or front & center with couch seats in front of the living room flat screen!
He spends the rest of his quality time with his wife & 3 young sons, going on adventures to amusement parks & playing the ideal domestic homemaker. To decompress, video gaming in the company of the lil tykes happens between work and sports. :)

How Long with Eyes on Fremont:
Mayann is currently the longest standing employee of EOF- rounding the corner of 14 years! She has had the advantage of witnessing the evolution of this special little shop- through all of its turnover and growth, she's proud to have been a part of the process.
Her EOF "Specialty":
If there is anyone fitted to the term "jack of all trades" it would be Mayann. She has had a hand (and foot) in most operations around the shop; from dispensing & customer satisfaction, to lab support, handling bills and consignment accounts, assisting in frame selection and design, and social media networking... she enjoys the wide range of tasks that helps EOF thrive.

Mayann's current preoccupations & passions:
Mayann has a passion for music and art- her past times almost always include attending live music shows and supporting the art scene around Seattle. Everything from Hip Hop/rap to indie rock, to jazz & experimental electronica to DJ sets, tends to draw her interest & you will most likely run into her at any live gathering that involves local art & fashion. When she's not grinding away at work or the gym, she loves metal fabrication and wears a lot of her own handmade jewelry pieces. Danaca Design in the University District is a place she really enjoys learning the metalsmithing process.
She has currently has ambitions of learning dance and traveling around the world, seeing as many places as possible!
