My dear friends,
with a little delay I propose to you the second part of the small report devoted to the best city in the world - ancient capital of our country, Kiev. This city is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I love it very much. I hope this small pics will inspire you to visit the place.
Again photos taken at Pecherska Lavra. I find these icons and frescos just fascinating. And this temple is acting nowadays and I even managed to listen to beautiful service there.
From its square there opens up a very picturesque view to Dnepr - main river. It was very nice to walk there and see all these ancient temples and churches which reflect our many-century culture. One feels very calm and even happy there as it is well known that Pecherska Lavra is located at "the place of strength".
And off course several pics taken at famous Andreevsky slope (we all know that the house pf writer Bulgakov is situated exactly there). This is the view from Andreevsky slope. It was very nice to have tasty lunch after it in restaurant "Da Vinci" - one of my favourite restaurants in kiev. I would like to admit that pizaa is extremely tasty there!
And this is the house which impressed me the most at my childhood - this is the House with Chimeras. Really its roof is decorated by absolutely wild and unusual creatures like angry lions, beautiful mermaids, goblins etc. One of the most interesting examples of architecture in our capital.

My dears,
hello there! here are some pics taken during my short journey in Kiev, our capital. I hope you will like these and share your comments with me.
I apologize for simple style in clothes but the weather was quite cold and I tried to get dressed as comfortable as possible:-)
This is me in the park where I grew old and in the Mariinsky park.
This great carousel is located in the center street of the city - Khreschatik!
As I have already written in my previous post I visited Pecherska Lavra - the sacred place in Kiev.

Hello friends!
I apologize as I haven't been visiting my blog for very long time - had a lot of things distracting my attention :-) I was visiting my favorite city (along with Istanbul!). it is the capital of our country - Kiev. I think it's great that I can share here with you not only with sightseeings of foreign countries I visited but interesting and beautiful places worth seeing in my native country. I hope you will enjoy this post and share with me your comments. These are the best places of this great city I love the most of all.
The best memories which come from childhood are referring to beautiful park located in the center of the city - Mariinsky Park. The palace of the same name - very majestic and airy looking - is also located there. I used to walk there along long shady alleys and breathing very fresh air.
The park-watcher lives there in such a small beautiful house reminding a forrest hut :-) it looks very cute! In Mariinsky park there is a sight area from where you can see the whole Kiev like on the palm. Looks fantastic!
And the center of Kiev - Square of Independence. It is located on the main street of the city - Khreschatik. All people gather to walk, visiting shops and boutiques, listening to concerts.
This is Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - the sacred place, and I would say it is located especially here not intentionally, as being here one feels very good and calm atmosphere around. Every time I am in Kiev I try to visit Lavra - to feel this energy. So majestic churches with golden cupolas, long alleys surrounded with high trees giving calm shade, many interesting museums devoted to Ukrainian history. In he center of Lavra square there is big stone of ancient church wall located. Everyone can calm closer and see it.
In my next post I will familiarize you with other Kiev sightseeings which make us all feel very proud of our capital.
